Who is CWA?
We are non-partisan group of women (and men too) who support agriculture
through education, public relations, and legislation within Merced county and
California.

Our Chapter works with our state organization as a liaison between our county and
the state.  We share our local issues and offer support regarding through our
programs such as Farmology, California Ag in the Classroom, American Agri-
Women, and I Love Farmers…They Feed My Soul.

We partner with our sister CWA Chapters to educate our counties regarding the
importance of agriculture.  We work to educate people about the safe, abundant,
food and fiber grown and harvested within California.

Our mission is:

To promote an educational program in order to develop the interest of California
women in agriculture and to promote agriculture in California,

To involve women of the State of California for the following general purposes,

To speak on behalf of agriculture in an intelligent, informative, direct and truthful
manner,

To keep CWA members informed on legislative activities pertaining to agriculture,

To join forces when the need arises to deal with agricultural problems in a specific
community

To improve the public image of farmers and to develop rapport within agricultural
communities throughout the state.
